Heritage season over a period of 6 months commencing September 2024 covering a variety of topics, as well as concerts and other events (subject to expressions of interest):

Events are already being planned as listed below, and it is hoped that more will be added.

 

All events will be by ticket only in advance, and the finalised programme will be issued later in the year.

Race and Protest An afternoon event by John Gorman (writer, singer, comic, theatre director and poet) ‘Rosa’: A play about Rosa Parks - written by John Gorman and performed by Jola Idowu Strange Fruit’: John Gorman tells the story of "Strange Fruit" a song written and composed by Abel Meeropol (under the pseudonym Lewis Allan) with the lyrics being drawn from his poem published in 1937. The song was recorded by Billie Holiday in 1939.
