Spotlighting the West Rose Window

In June 2016 an experiment to spot-light the rose window above the front door was carried out.

A lighting engineer set up multi-coloured lights which illuminated the stained glass in a sequence of colours.

The experiment was very successful and the effects were quite dramatic but unfortunately the cost of a permanent installation would have been prohibitive.

We show here extracts from a video made by Michael Swerdlow - the only record of that experiment.
